Children under 18 will not be able to stay in the night time zone (between 11:00 p.m. and 8:00 a.m. of the next day).
Identification
Users participating in the LAN Party will receive a personal and non-transferable identification that they must carry at all times and must always be visible. This identification is the responsibility of the participant. Third party accreditation can’t be carried even if they are members of the same group.
This identification will be used all the time on the area designated for registered users. This identification can be requested by any person in the organization at any time, to do identity checks or, in extreme cases, if it is decided to expel any troll with hacks or no fair play. Is very important to keep this identification in a safe place in the LAN Party duration.
General attitude
All participants in the LAN Party have to comply with minimum standards of civility and education:
- Treat other participants with respect and courtesy.
- Avoid verbal and/or physical aggression, indecent behavior or aggressive attitudes.
- Keep your space clean and tidy, both during the event and at the end of it. You will find trash containers scattered throughout the room, please use them.
- Keep the corridors free of material that may impede the free movement of participants.
Smoking, drinking alcohol or consuming drugs
Smoking is prohibited anywhere on the premises except in the designated area (outside the place), including electronic cigarettes. This prohibition extends not only to the user area, also to the bathrooms, corridors, etc. Anyone caught violating this rule may be kicked from the event.
In the same way, it is not allowed to consume alcohol or drugs (and of course the trafficking of these). If it’s detected a user under the effects of alcohol or drugs, and they cause problems, the organization may prohibit them from entering.
Software and piracy
Participants must be responsible for their use of the network infrastructure that the organization makes available to them. The organization requires compliance with the rules.
Copying licensed programs, music or other copyrighted audiovisual material is not permitted, if you do it is a criminal offense. The Organization does not support the illegal use of software, nor does it support piracy or anything that contravene copyright laws. Nor is it permitted to display or share pornographic material.
The only type of software that is authorized to be copied through the event network will be the works carried out by each of the groups or individuals attending or any software that allows its copying (Free Software, Shareware, Freeware, Free Music Licenses, etc.).
In any case, the event organization is not responsible for the contents of computer equipment or the files that may be shared, regardless of whether they have been downloaded from the Internet during the event or have been transferred to it with their computers.
Network usage
The local network and Internet access is shared, and we must all take care of it. Any attempt to sabotage or cause its malfunction (network attacks, use of bots, generation of viruses, worms, DHCP servers, malicious software, etc.) that is detected by the Organization will be sanctioned, and may even result in the offender being kicked.
The Organization is not responsible for the computer protection of the participants computers, so the private use of antivirus and firewall software is recommended, as well as the latest operating system update. The Organization is also not responsible for not being able to provide constant network service to participants, if this disconnection is because of unknown causes or not attributable to the responsible/s for his correct operation.
Network equipment and communications and electrical installations
- The organization provides each participant with a power outlet. This electrical outlet have all the necessary requirements for use and is certified by the installer. All connections comply with current law and are stable. Therefore, the organization is not responsible for any damage to electronic devices that are connected to it.
- The organization provides each participant with a single Ethernet cable that connects them to the communications network (the use of multiple network cables for a single participant, or the exchange of one’s own cable for that of others places, is prohibited). If the cable corresponding to a user does not work or is in poor condition, the affected user must contact the Organization so that their problem can be resolved as soon as possible.
- Communication switches, light switches, sockets, general wiring, optical fibers and other common facilities may only be operated by the organization’s staff. Any participant caught attempting to manipulate them will be sanctioned without being able to respond, and may even be expelled depending on the seriousness of the action.
Noises, screams and loudspeakers
As a measure of respect for the other participants, individual speakers connected to computers may not be used. The only background music allowed will be that played by the Organization with the general sound system. Participants must use headphones if they want to listen to music, films or sound effects from the productions they are working on or the games they are playing. All speakers found by the Organization will be confiscated and returned at the end of the event. This rule also applies to stereo equipment.
As a general rule, participants must maintain a moderate attitude, avoiding shouting, excessive noise, use of horns, and any other activity that may be annoying to other people.
Thefts
If any participant detects that they have suffered a theft, they must notify the Organization’s security officer.
The Organization will try, as far as possible, to resolve the incident. This may lead to a formal complaint being made to the police authorities by the user. In this case, the Organization will collaborate with the authorities by providing all the information they have been able to collect.
If the thief is identified, the Organization will expel him immediately, having the right to deny him participation in the following years. Expulsion from the event does not replace or is incompatible with a legal complaint against the offender by the affected person.
However, the organization is not responsible for any theft that occurs during the event.
Losses
In the event that any participant loses any object, they must contact the Organization’s security manager. The Organization will try, as far as possible, to resolve the incident.
In case of finding lost objects at the end of the event, their respective owners will be informed, in the event of being unknown, they will be kept in the Organization’s for a maximum period of one month. If these objects are not claimed and collected after this month, the Organization will dispose of them in the way he wants.
However, the organization is not responsible for any losses that occur during the event.
Household appliances and other devices
The user sites have electrical power; four sockets for a person. This power is intended for the computer equipment that participants wish to bring, but in no case, for the use of household appliances, fans or other devices. The reason for this is that these machines can cause voltage problems that result in the loss of power to large areas of users.
Refrigerators
Participants have the right to bring their own food and non-alcoholic beverages into the venue. For the conservation of these, if desired, portable refrigerators may be used, always taking into account the following restriction: food and beverage refrigeration systems that require electrical current for their operation are not allowed, whatever the nature of the latter: direct power supply to 220v, transformers, USB, or through the PC power supply. Therefore, only non-electric portable refrigerators are allowed to be brought to the event.
Right of admission
All refrigerators that contravene the above will be confiscated until the end of the event.
The organization may deny the right to participation of any person in this event and/or kick them, in any of its phases, in those cases in which, at the Organization’s discretion, any of its participants has not complied with the established regulations, for any reason, in offensive conduct, contrary to the law, morality, public order or public judgment, to its image or to third parties.
